We never know what’s round the next corner, the big new idea, scientific breakthrough or invention. That’s why is so exciting to be an engineer as you are always looking forward to the future, in anticipation of what’s coming next.
In terms of space exploration there’s been a lot of build up in relation to entrepreneur Elon Musk’s company SpaceX. Who would have thought that since we first stepped on the moon in 1969 that it would be 50 years later before excitement in space exploration was rekindled. The new cabin being a prime example, having introduced touchscreen controls in place of the physical buttons, we were accustomed to seeing in all the space footage and the film Apollo 13.
What interested me the most, was that like most general engineering projects ongoing now, SpaceX has designed rocket craft that can be propelled back to the ground in order for the parts to be re-flown, rather than in years gone by, simply discarded.
We generally don’t know what the future holds in terms of space tourism, who knows if this all goes well we might be buying a ticket to ride into space, Mars and beyond. If you need any help turning your idea into a reality then why not contact Sanstec Design, we’re ready and it doesn’t have to be a space rocket to grab our attention.
