Tick Tock: Against the Clock

Don’t worry, the blog title hasn’t been misspelt. I am most definitely not about to reveal to you what’s in my latest TikTok. I’m simply finding, like many other engineers and non engineers, that there are presently not enough hours in the day and I’m mindful of the background tick, tick, tick of the analogue clock hanging on my office wall.

So yes I’m pretty busy at the moment, which is a good thing. I’m always appreciative that we have a number of clients who return to me again and again and I know I have mentioned in my previous blogs that I really enjoy solving their design engineering problems, whatever form they may take. At the moment I just feel a bit like a hamster in a wheel following an endless cycle of eat, sleep (badly), engineer and repeat.

It is certainly good to be busy with CAD design work, although we might need to reach out for some extra support soon, which is also something else to feel positive about. My time management skills are on full pelt, maximising our time to do everything that needs doing. But at the end of it completed projects always provide a sense of relief, pride and satisfaction all rolled into one bundle of emotions.

Time is swiftly moving on, it will soon be necessary to start making plans for the Sanstec Christmas celebrations in terms of the annual staff dinner and client gifts, etc. Time management for me personally is like a juggling game which would most certainly make an entertaining visual TikTok for people of all ages, believe me.
