You would be wrong if you believed the role of a design engineer can be likened to that conveyed throughout Oscar Wilde’s play. Written as a satire about Victorian society’s values of honesty and sincerity, the comedy centres on the repercussions of impersonation. I can say, without any shadow of doubt, that an engineer’s role is nothing like this. We simply must possess the right attitude and have a genuine concern for what really matters, which is delivering for our clients, whether they may be UK manufacturers, design engineering companies, or consultancies.
Having been the owner of my own limited company now for over 25 years, I appreciate the daily challenges of juggling a to-do list, but it is important to retain a steady but passionate determination to succeed. Whether that is working long hours to meet a deadline, wading through a mass of technical data, managing expectations, or liaising with a client about a new project. When preparing 3D CAD models, there are, more often than not, alterations to be discussed, but these must be taken forward in a serious but thoughtful manner, with care and adherence to matters such as industry standards, the environment, and budget constraints.
So, I can safely say that there are no impersonations or pretences taking place at Sanstec Design because, I am afraid, my acting skills are simply not up to it. What you will receive, however, is an earnest approach to your next design and development project.
