You might be forgiven for perhaps thinking this blog is going to focus on Björk’s famous 1995 hit “It’s Oh So Quiet”, but you would, I’m afraid, be sadly wrong. Although highly enjoyable, if you like that sort of thing, the title is actually referring to how we have to behave as a mechanical design engineering business.
Serving clients who may be bringing a new product to market, or who are working on a design improvement to an existing product, naturally do not want their competitors or anyone else to get wind of it before it is ready to be released and marketed in the right and proper way. To this end, we are therefore, quite rightly, asked to sign a confidentiality agreement prior to any conversation taking place. These legal documents and agreements can restrict us even mentioning the product, and the part we played in its design and development journey, years after it is launched. So, although we would like to tell everyone about the exciting projects we have been involved with, we have to stay absolutely silent and keep it to ourselves.
Obviously we can allude to the type of work undertaken, which is what we aim to do across our web site and social platforms. But we are very limited to what we can actually talk about. We are, however, very fortunate having been in the business over some 20 years now, that we have a number of repeat clients from those in the industry. We therefore take great pains to ensure those repeat contracts are serviced well and work hard at trying to stay in touch with our many industry contacts.
If you have something to shout about, but want us to keep quiet about it, then why not give us a call?
