So things have moved on and some of us are going out a bit more than we were a few weeks back. We’re still open for business, that hasn’t changed, although the new Sanstec working day looks a bit different now.
We’re still continuing to service our clients by working remotely and holding virtual meetings to talk through technical design and engineering issues or questions. Our regular team meetings are now undertaken using Skype, as we feel it’s important to still have face to face conversations, albeit through a screen. We have been using our lock down time to tidy and reorganise our engineering workshop. Our CAD software has been updated with the latest releases of CREO, Solidworks and Inventor and we been reminding ourselves of the technical capabilities these individual programmes can offer our clients. We have also been learning new functionality via webinars and technical workshops.
Unlike a surfer we’re hoping the intensity of the situation might subside. If it doesn’t and there are more challenging times ahead, despite the fact that we’re probably not going to see or experience a wave first hand for a while, we’re still getting ready to ride the next big one.
