Ever get the feeling you’re just going around in circles? Sometimes life can feel a bit like that, can’t it? If you look hard enough, you’ll see that circles are everywhere, from the shape of our planet to my humble, but very important, daily coffee cup.
Even in nature, circles exist. I was watching a recent episode of BBC’s Springwatch the other day and there was an interesting piece about newts living in our garden ponds and the life cycle of these species in general. Bizarrely, in an instant, my thoughts turned from the natural life cycle of a frog, to that used in engineering processes.
As a design engineer I’m focused on the development life cycle and therefore share responsibility for ensuring that a new product or part comes to fruition. As a business, Sanstec Design has the capability and expertise available to manage the product/part design life cycle for our clients. Typically the circle focuses on the stages which need to be addressed, from concept generation, modelling and prototyping, simulation and testing, through to production support, after sales and technical product support. Sometimes early detection in a product or part failing can mean some aspects of the circle have to be revisited and completed before the cycle can be finished.
If you feel you are going round and round with a concept, why not give Sanstec Design a call, we might be able to get you out of a design rut.
