As we roll on into January and those resolutions made at the start of the new year that may have included a return to the gym, leads me to turn my own attention to some much needed bench work. No, I’m afraid I’m not talking about bench presses or gym activity of any kind at all. I am instead readying to move the contents of the current Sanstec workshop to a new improved premises.
The impending move, which is becoming scarily only a few weeks away is inciting me to complete those engineering tasks in readiness for the relocation of the workshop. The team has for some time now, been assisting me with the dispersal of unwanted assets and the disposing of any rubbish. Indeed anything which is surplus to our future technical requirements is being let go.
We are all looking forward to having better facilities in which to utilise our ongoing mechanical engineering projects. As many of you know I personally have had a keen interest in classic cars for many years and am pleased to have in our possession an assortment of 'interesting vehicles' to work on including their repair and modification. If its retro and mechanical, then I’m pretty much interested in it. With all this engineering potential lying about, we have deemed it essential to have an engine test and 'run up' rig which we will naturally design in CAD and assemble ourselves. After all, we will be in our new workshop and ready for some more bench work.
